GROUPN was engaged by New England Constructions to provide architectural services for Collegians across nine major stages of development spanning over 20 years. These projects have ranged from smaller $800K terrace extensions to the recent $10 million extension and refurbishment, which includes the Club’s dynamic restaurant precinct.
Working closely with the Club’s Interior Designer, Split Watermelon, GROUPN provided comprehensive architectural services, including initial conceptual planning, documentation for statutory approvals, and tender coordination. This stage of the project involved the relocation of the Club’s Bistro, the introduction of a new Bar, Toilets, Back of House facilities, and the addition of a new standalone food offering. Additionally, the basement bar was refurbished to enhance its appeal to patrons.
The project successfully expanded the Club’s seating capacity and introduced a variety of distinct seating zones, offering patrons a range of environments to suit different dining and social experiences. A key feature of this stage was the excavation and underpinning of the existing structure, along with the creation of a large void, which formed a striking visual connection between the ground and basement levels.
This stage of development reinforces Collegians’ ongoing commitment to providing diverse and engaging spaces for its members and guests, setting the foundation for future growth and enhancement.
