Collegians – Restaurant Precinct

GROUPN has been engaged by the Club’s builder, New England Constructions, to provide architectural services for nine major stages of work spanning in excess of 20 years. The various stages have ranged from $800K terrace extensions to the most recent $10 million extension and refurbishment which includes the Club’s restaurant precinct.

GROUPN coordinated with the Club’s Interior Designer, Split Watermelon, to provide architectural services including initial conceptual planning, documentation for statutory approvals and tender. The stage involved relocation of the Club’s Bistro; a new Bar, Toilets and Back of House facilities; and a new standalone food offer and refurbishment of a bar in the basement of the Club.

The Project has expanded the Club’s seating capacity and provided a number of distinctly separate seating zones for patrons to choose from.

The stage required excavation and underpinning of the existing structure and a large void to be formed to create a strong visual connection between the ground and basement levels.
